The Gypsy Kitchen is situated on the incredible 14th street which hosts countless fantastic restaurants. This restaurant is not really close to the metro so you will probably Uber there and back.

The atmosphere is great. A beautifully designed interior. It has a modern feel but feels old fashion as well. (Sorry for the vague descriptions, I did not study interior design at school).  The upstairs (where I sat) was also nice but the outside looked even better. When you go you should definitely sit outside on the second floor.
The restaurant was crowded and really freaking loud. Like it honestly felt like a bar or a club it was so damn loud. I don’t really know why it was that loud, but towards the end we were yelling at each other to get a few words across our tiny table.

The food was incredible. Some of the best food I’ve had in my life. You must order:

The Labneh and Flatbread
The Cauliflower Dish
The Kibbeh
Crispy Chicken Briouat

And of course order whatever your heart desires. I highly doubt anything there will disappoint you. The service was eh. It was busy, so I understand waiting for our food. But I was thirsty most of the time and no one came to our table to fill up water until the very end. Our server wasn’t the nicest either.

Overall, a must-go.
