Finally, I found a pizzeria in DC that actually sells true Pizza. Not only does this Pizza meet the basic standards of Pizza, it excels at it. I never expected of finding a NY-Style pizza in DC after 4 years of Jumbo Slices and other cheapened versions of Pizza.
I usually don’t review Pizzerias/Takeout places, but I had to make an exception here. I was absolutely blown away by Andy’s Pizza, particuarly their burrata marghertia pizza. The cheese, sauce and crust is everything you want from a NY-Style slice and I can even confindently say that it’s quality exceeds many pizzerias in NY. I don’t know what their secret is, and I don’t want to know. I picked up a pie once at their Adam’s Morgan location. Perfectly located on 18th street and it is a very nice place to sit and enjoy a slice. The second time I had Andy’s pizza I had it delivered to my apartment. Our specialty pizza was expensive. The price (including tip, tax, and delivery fees) was $40 for one large pie. This is for sure expensive but worth it.
