This hidden gem is in plain sight. It is literally 20 steps from the Dupont Metro entrance, yet despite literally passing it everyday on my way to work, I have never noticed it. A friend suggested that we try their bottomless brunch and I was hooked once I saw some of my mediterranean favorites on the menu.

The restaurant’s exterior and interior is gorgeous. We ate inside and the restaurant was designed and decorated like you were in some wealthy person’s home. We had a lovely and spacious booth that was right next to the bottomless mimosa buffet. Finally, a brunch place that knows how to serve bottomless brunch. Usually, you have to wait for your very busy server to refill your mimosa, but at this restaurant it is entirely up to you to go up and fill how ever much champagne/orange juice/ cranberry juice that you would like. It is a simple yet ingenious way to keep customers happy and reduce the workload on the staff.

The food was great and it was presented beautifully. It was a pre-fix menu that included 4 courses and unlimited drinks for 90 minutes. I really don’t remember what I ordered as the menu items as most of the items were in a different language (with English descriptions). Just order what you think you will like! Although the food was good, it was quite simple. It was a clever combination of foods we are used to eating. I noticed that most of the menu lacked some sort of meat so most of the food that they served was certainly cheap to prepare. For example, one of my dishes was a pita, a thin layer of mashed avocado, onion, tomato and chickpeas (this was considered my main course). So they were making a hell of a profit on the food, but I didn’t really mind because it was tasty enough.

The service was incredible. Every server and host treated us so well and made us feel like kings (and queens). They really understood hospitality and even the chef came over to our table to go over the menu with one of my friends who can’t eat gluten.

The food was light and the mimosas were refreshing. This is probably my favorite brunch place in DC and I highly recommend if you want to go to brunch but don’t feel like going to the basic DC places. The location is also ideal. In doesn’t get any better than being in the heart of Dupont Circle and right next to the metro. Perfect for friends who are visiting from out of town!
